What is F.A.M.E.?
The Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce in an effort to support
the regional film industry growth has created F.A.M.E., the Film,
Arts, Motion Picture & Entertainment initiative.
F.A.M.E. fosters the growth of the Massachusetts emerging film
and production industry within the South Shore Communities we

About Us
FAME is a new initiative that is exclusively for Plymouth Area
Chamber of Commerce members.
Due to the Massachusetts Film Tax Credits more and more
productions are seeking to make Massachusetts the next
destination for their pilots and feature films.
In total, over $550 million dollars in new productions have come to
Massachusetts in the past several years. The Plymouth Area
Chamber of Commerce would like to ensure that our Chamber
members receive every opportunity to provide goods and services
to that industry should they film in the lower South Shore.
The Chamber serves 9 communities from Marshfield to Plymouth
with participating members spread all across Massachusetts as
well. An enrollment process for Chamber members will be
forthcoming in the next few weeks. Stay tuned as we roll out the
components of this exciting initiative.
Targeted FAME Components
* Highlight Chamber Members in a database that will be available
to film crews entering the area.
* Highlight Adult education programs, continuing education
programs and college courses currently available for individuals to
train in visual or performing arts programs which will lead to
opportunities in the growing film production industry. This will be in
conjunction with our CONNECT partners and the Plymouth Public
Schools.
* Facilitate a streamlined permitting approval processes with local
municipalities looking to attract film production activity and
creative arts.
* Market the lower South Shore to the emerging film industry.
* Work in collaboration with the Mass Film Office to highlight the
regional strengths and available locations for future productions.
